Location Highlights
Savannah, Georgia offers a historic coastal setting with access to both urban attractions and outdoor recreation. Forsyth Park and the Savannah Historic District are both within the city, and Tybee Island is about 20 miles east for beach access and waterfront views. Skidaway Island State Park is about 15 miles from central Savannah and offers trails and marsh scenery, while River Street provides dining, shopping, and views along the Savannah River. The city also offers access to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport about 10 miles northwest of downtown, and Charleston is roughly a 2-hour drive for additional regional travel options.
