Experienced Wireline Operator – Prudhoe Bay, AK (3 Weeks On / 3 Weeks Off)

StaffMode is hiring experienced Wireline Operators for a rotational assignment on the North Slope in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

Pay: $25–$27 per hour, DOE

Schedule: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off

Hours: 12-hour days for the full 3-week hitch (wellsite and shop/yard)

Overtime: Alaska OT after 8 hours in a day. A 12-hour day is 8 hours straight time + 4 hours OT.

Provided: Flights, travel, and housing

Job Summary

Operate wireline equipment on a 3-and-3 rotation supporting North Slope operations. Work 12-hour days throughout the hitch, including shop days. Flights, travel, and camp housing are provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform cased-hole and/or open-hole wireline operations (logging, perforating, pipe recovery, plug setting, and related services)
• Rig up / rig down wireline units, pressure control equipment, and wellhead adapters
• Operate wireline units and monitor line tension, depth, and toolstring status
• Assemble, test, and maintain tools, cable, and downhole equipment
• Complete shop and yard work during the hitch as required (12-hour days apply in the shop)
• Follow well control, H2S, radiation, explosives, and North Slope HSE procedures
• Complete job tickets, tool reports, JSAs, and required documentation
• Work as part of a crew with engineers, supervisors, and wellsite personnel
• Comply with client, operator, and North Slope access, badging, PPE, and camp rules

Required Qualifications

• Proven wireline operator experience (required — trainees will not be considered)
• Hands-on experience with wireline units, toolstrings, and wellsite operations
• Ability to work a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation and 12-hour days for 21 consecutive days in Arctic conditions
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
• Ability to pass drug/alcohol screen, background check, and client onboarding
• Current or obtainable North Slope / Arctic safety tickets as required (Safeland, H2S, First Aid/CPR, PEC, site orientations)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

• Prior North Slope or other Arctic / remote-camp wireline experience
• Perforating, pipe recovery, and P&A wireline experience
• Radiation safety and/or explosives handler credentials
• Mechanical aptitude for shop-level unit and tool maintenance
