Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hybrid: 2 days in office / 3 days working from home
Position Type: Long-Term Contract – Minimum 1 Year

About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Clerk to join our team and provide support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing reconciliation, payroll record keeping, and general accounting functions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop , a strong understanding of AP and AR , and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Maintain accurate financial and accounting records.
• Assist with payroll record keeping and related documentation.
• Perform billing reconciliation , including insurance billing reconciliations.
• Research discrepancies and help ensure billing records are accurate.
• Prepare, review, and understand journal entries .
• Work extensively with QuickBooks Desktop to enter and maintain financial information.
• Provide accounting support during month-end close .
• Assist with year-end closing processes .
• Maintain organized documentation and financial records.
• Assist with other accounting and finance-related projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related role .
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable .
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and journal entries .
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required .
• Experience with billing reconciliation; insurance billing reconciliation is highly desirable .
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with financial records and confidential information.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes is preferred.
